Salary: $20/hr

After School Program Coordinator (.25 FTE) 

REPORTS TO: Executive Director 

SALARY: $20/hr. Based on training and experience. 

WORK SCHEDULE: 2-3 hrs/day when school is in session. 191 days to be worked between August 26 & June 20.

 

PURPOSE : Seeking an energetic, fun, and creative individual to play and provide enrichment to students in our after school program, “The Afters” after school program at Muddy Creek Charter School in South Corvallis/Philomath.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Program Coordinator for our after-school program supports our Executive Directors in providing high quality after school programming for elementary aged youth, from Kindergarten to Fifth grade.

The right candidate will have a passion for working with youth, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, time management skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will carry out the responsibilities of the position as defined below. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervising students at all times during the program
  • Planning and executing games and group activities
  • Set-up/Clean-up of facilities before and after use each day
  • Checking students in and out of the program at dismissal and pick-up with IDs and making notes of late-pickups
  • Entering attendance data as needed
  • Communicating with parents/guardians as needed regarding program attendance & billing
  • Reporting to the executive director when needed

AVAILABILITY

2:30-6:00p - MONDAY- THURSDAY

1:30-6:00p - FRIDAY

20-25 hours per week (More hours are possible at the discretion of the Executive Director.)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be willing to become CPR certified

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years of age or older,
  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
  • Prior experience working with young people
  • Pursuing coursework in or related to the field of education, preferred
