Position Summary

Director, HCP Product Marketing will report directly to the Executive Director, US Marketing, and be responsible for driving the strategy and tactics in support of the Executive Director and broader marketing team that will lead to a successful positioning and usage of LIVMARLI in approved disease states. This role will include leading and mentoring the Product Marketer, US Marketing, as a member of the HCP LIVMARLI and Mirum team.

Strategic and tactical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, leading the strategy and execution plan of market shifting promotional message strategies, in-office promotion, healthcare professional (HCP) content development, and creation/execution of traditional HCP tactics including digital advertising, sales force tools, and core branding workstreams (i.e. positioning, messaging, creative development, etc), and HCP education including, congress promotions, advisory board meetings and speakers bureau content development for the brand.. Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Medical Affairs and Value & Access teams will be a critical responsibility in ensuring well-coordinated execution of the launch plan. Externally this leader will support our efforts to further develop Mirum’s position as a leader in rare disease by building strong relationships with the patient community and advocacy organizations, and Key Opinion Leaders

This individual will continuously seek out innovative, industry-first solutions and partnerships while staying current on evolving media trends, technology platforms and opportunities that exist in the Health and Pharma space to strengthen the HCP experience. They’ll look for test and learn opportunities that make sense for the brand (and the company long-term). They will utilize multiple sources of information (market research, advisory boards, stakeholder interactions) to understand the disease state and marketplace, and HCP/caregiver audiences to identify gaps and provide solutions to develop strategies and tactical plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and evolution of the best-in-class brand growth strategy and tactical plan for HCP Marketing for LIVMARLI in US Markets Responsible for ensuring a seamless, well-integrated product message and position across multiple marketing platforms.
  • Support brand planning, including situation analysis, competitive landscape, strategic priorities, and tactical launch plan.
  • Support brand positioning and message platform development as part of core launch-planning activities.
  • Work collaboratively with analytics team to gather key market insights from HCPs and patients.
  • Ensure implementation of campaigns which integrate all appropriate marketing channels, including HCP personal promotions, patient marketing, digital, interactive, and online media.
  • Work with field facing teams including sales and Thought Leader Liaisons to ensure critical customer insights are consistently and iteratively incorporated into marketing initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with creative agencies; Manage expenditures within budget guidelines. Focus on immediate and short-term (<2 years) strategic planning horizon.
  • Lead materials through Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) to ensure adherence to compliance guidelines.
  • Establish metrics and track program effectiveness and ROI regarding key tactics.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
  • Mining for competitive landscape trends to continually inform brand strategic direction.
  • Develop HCP and sales force facing content, working cross-functionally to ensure an integrated and timely launch.
  • Ensure professional strategies and tactics are aligned with DTC/caregiver promotional strategy.
  • Responsible for optimizing all marketing materials, including branding, messaging, and channel mix for target customers. Creates new materials when necessary to address a customer need.
  • Lead and mentor the Product Marketer in the development of speaker bureau strategy, oversee speaker bureau, oversee content development, collaborating with broader team and vendor partner.
  • Lead and mentor the Product Marketer in the planning and execution of a strong commercial presence at Congresses in alignment with all relevant internal stakeholders
  • Perform ongoing analysis of HCP marketing collateral and campaigns while achieving expense targets for areas of responsibility.
  • Manage LIVMARLI HCP Marketing expense budget tracking and contribute to budget planning.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years Product Management experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals (HCP marketing is preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of health care and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Product launch experience preferred.
  • Experience with HCP campaign development and execution.
  • Rare/ultra-rare, patient-centric commercial experience desired. Pediatric and/or liver experience is a plus.
  • Experience with working with agencies in development, implementation and execution of HCP plan, including the production and development of HCP materials across multiple channels.
  • Media planning and analysis experience preferred including managing multiple agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and allocated budget.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing areas including product positioning, marketing plan development and execution, strategic communications, product launch, public and private payer reimbursement environment.
  • Successful track record of strategic and tactical marketing demonstrated by multiple balanced references.
