To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking highly motivated, energetic, and safety-oriented Labourer(s) to join our Mega Shredder team. Reporting to our team leads, the Pickers are responsible for working inside our warehouse on a metal recycling production line sorting, picking, and processing different pieces of metal and various other general labour duties as assigned.
- Day shift: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The starting rate is $20.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities - Sorting, picking, and processing metal pieces within the nonferrous picking line
- Manually heavy lift materials to assist in loading/ unloading and stocking of material
- Clean and/or pressure wash equipment
- Use any hand tools that may be required for tasks
- Assisting with loading scrap metal for sales
- Sort and stack materials as directed
- Maintain a safe clean and orderly working environment
- Complete Pre-Job Hazard Assessments and Equipment Pre-Use Inspections
- Other general labour duties as required

Education and Experience - 1 -2 years labour experience or experience working on an assembly line
- Must be able to perform physical repetitive tasks with the ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
- Previous experience working in the industrial/metal industry is considered a strong asset
