A pesar de nuestro anterior intento fallido de poner un pie en Svalbard, no hemos perdido toda la esperanza y volveremos a intentarlo en unas dos semanas. Esta vez, el fracaso no será una opción.

Con grandes esperanzas de buenas condiciones, estaremos en servicio el 24 de enero alrededor de las 15:00 UTC, hasta el 26 alrededor de las 10:00 UTC. Operadores: Kristoffer, JW/LB0VG  y Stian, JW/LB5SH . Operaremos dos radios las 24 horas del día durante nuestra estadía, trabajando en SSB, CW y FT8. Para SSB, alcanzaremos el límite legal de 1kW, CW y FT8 alcanzaremos un máximo de alrededor de 3-400W para ahorrar nuestros preciados transistores.

Como siempre, si tienes dificultades para trabajar con JW desde tu ubicación, ya sea por falta de potencia o por la distancia, estaré encantado de ayudarte. Ponte en contacto y organizaremos un horario, en cualquier modo y banda.

Despite our previous unsuccessful attempt at setting foot on Svalbard, we haven’t lost all hope and will try again in about two weeks. This time failure will not be an option.

With high hopes for good conditions, we’ll be QRV on January 24th around 15:00 UTC, until QRT the 26th around 10:00 UTC. Ops: Kristoffer, JW/LB0VG and Stian, JW/LB5SH. We’ll operate two radios around the clock during our stay, working SSB, CW, and FT8. For SSB we’ll max out the legal limit of 1kW, CW and FT8 we’ll top out around 3-400W to save our precious transistors.

As always – if you have difficulties working JW from your location, be it due to low power/QRP or the distance, I’m more than happy to help you out. Get in touch and we’ll arrange a sked – any mode, any band.
